Please note: I’ve updated the section on armor and temperature in the house-rules document, modifying what is in the WSG (3/16/14). Overall, I’ve reduced the penalties/damage associated with high heat and also reduced the penalties for various armor types (across the board, so they compare the same as previously). These rules were just too strict when I started playing with them — and extreme heat shouldn’t be that much of a problem if you’ve grown-up accustomed to it.
3/24/14: Modified the section on falling below 0 hp
4/12/14: Added permanent injury random table for falling below -6 hp.
4/15/14: Simplified weapon deterioration rules, added rules for shields breaking, and modified initiative rules for monsters/enemies.
4/18/14: Tweaked the shield breakage rule to make it more of a trade-off; the player can opt when hit for damage to instead have their shield broken (assuming the attack is not flanking, surprise, an invisible attacker, etc.)
10/02/14: Previously added spell some spell component prices; today added cost and components of leather working kits.
12/16/14: Added some boats to the vehicle list and adjusted slots for land vehicles (carts/wagons).
2/11/15: Added explanations and clarifications of the experience/leveling rules.
2/2/16: Overhauled several sections to simplify; added encumbrance and storage values for containers.
