Book-keeping Notes, Session 93 (1/27/15):

– We concluded the session in the early afternoon of the 21st of Faurilden with the party safely back at the ruined estate (this time with Ryker in tow). Since the party is waiting for Pons to train and the return of the messengers sent to Midmark, we will summarize the next week at the beginning of next session and skip to the 29th of Faurilden (it’s almost Jourilden!)

– Still Idling somewhere Underground: Finkleworm

– Ready to accept his Oscar: Ryker

– Mystified at how long the odor of his grandson’s socks have lasted in the chest: Kalgunn the Elder

– Resting in Pieces: Desric Threehorn

– Doing his best Steamboat Willy impression: Alaine Grell

  1. Btw Alex, the characters all sat down and studied the Warrior, Monkey and Undying plans as a group, so everyone (hirelings included) have those benefits. I believe the plan was, whilst we hung around, to finish the others.

    Axel’s Plans for the Week:

    – We still have Finklemur’s wagon. If he can, Axel wants to take the time to procure a number of lockable chests he can bolt into the wagon and reinforce it. He will probably have to buy some food for the Ox if possible. If anything is unavailable, I’d like to sent a mail order down to Vargen.

    – Since we’re sending stuff to Midmark, Axel will push Sturloc to send the gold he wanted with a letter, and give him another five gold for his trouble.

    – I need to check what we need for sure, but can we resupply health potions from Idony?

  2. Okay, Ray — I assume that will be during your day trips down to Power & Engineering? Just to clarify: will Chuq be using the Raptor tunnel, sneaking through the lower city to the treasure pile at Lupaa’s to get cubes, then sneaking back to the temple, using a stone key (Axel’s?) to access Power & Engineering, using the recreation room interfaces to read the cubes, and then making the trip in reverse to return to the estate?

Quick questions: 1) Is anyone coming with you? 2) How will you be avoiding the militia patrols? 3) How many times during the week do you want to do this (factoring in study time, these are full day activities)?

  3. Now that Ryker is on the surface, Chuq will keep one broachy talky so that he can check in with Throfus who can help map a clear surface route to & from the Raptor Tunnel with his scrying mask during the day.

Below ground, he will use his dark elf boots and cloak and as needed shadow stepping to avoid detection. Navigating with the Starchie badge (bullseyed) and sensing with his golden helm.

Not sure how many stone keys we have (three?) but will take one (Dwarfs permitting) Will check with Axel/Thorfus how to deactivate/activate engineering counter measures and whether my silver PAS key is adequate for the job (I think it is).

Suspect only Edan would want to join since the Dwarfs will likely want to keep an eye on things top side. So Krates and Boris are welcome but not Starchie (won’t have time to take him on walks or groom him).

Once in engineering, will camp exclusively in the chief engineer’s suite. Studying via his pedestal, toileting and bathing via the water closet and making the bed as comfortable as possible.

Initially, the plan will be a week long stay (so only one trip) expecting to meet up with the Boyz when they return to the under city temple. Hopefully, Chuq will be able to study around the clock (pausing only to eat, sleep and converse with the Boys) shortening the total number of days needed.

Study order of Cubes (from loot list marked with chalk for future ID) :

    1. Elves

    2. dragons

    3. lizardman

    4. orc

    5. ogres

    6. kobold

    7. Humans

    8. Velociraptor

    9. T. Rex

    10. Reptile information

If Chuq suspects additional study time for any cube would yield new defensive techniques, he will take extra time to do so.

(I think this answers all your questions)
