Here is Urman of the Black Staff. A newly minted “wizard” out to gain the resources he needs to continue his studies and increase his power and knowledge.

I have three languages slots left. I want to reflect a bit before I decide on them.

  1. It depends on where you are from, really. For The Vale though, there is a wizard in Manheim who specifically started training up young apprentices, and usually has 3 or 4 at a time. You could’ve been one of his first. There is also a old crone who lives in north of Manheim who dabbles in alchemy and more primal magics, and a trio of wizards in Port Finnesheim, who are working with the Elves to find a solution to the growing cold.

Magic users, whilst rare due to the time and effort needed to become one, a usually well-respected, and run the mill from adventuring wizards such as yourself, to mystics and wise men. Alenostr is a very magically enriched location, due to the magical currents flowing down from the wellspring on the God’s Peak, so magic users are invaluable for navigating the odd stuff that form in response.

I can’t think of anything critical right now, but if something comes up that your character would have knowledge of, I’ll be sure to let you know.
