Yeah, about that. Not sure if the flames are continuous or bursts but it does seem reasonable that Lambasteous is likely making Sweat Bread stew after four minutes of heat. Anyone agree? John Carlson, has the overseer casing rolled any saving throws vs fire?
Rahm Benisaeko, I always envisioned bursts (like in Vargen) but you can imagine it as continuous but more diluted if you like. You also make a good point about the overseer — it is his enclosure taking the brunt of the attack rather than his “body” (especially with the volume of liquid and the fact that it’s being recycled). Here’s what I did: I rolled four rounds of saves for the casing (which it passed) and reduced the damage he’s suffered by half. I thought about allowing him a save to cast spells in a round even after taking damage (under the frog in boiling water rationale), but decided that — while more realistic — it was too mean and would guarantee the party’s demise.
Now what would happen if we suddenly changed the temperature? (insert evil grin)
