Quick note: technically, Laris (and maybe Alys?) were injured enough last night to qualify for “permanent” injuries per the house rules. I forgot in the moment to address this issue, so we can let it go unless there’s consensus that we should revisit it next week. That said, how do people feel about those rules more generally? I’ve abandoned them when playing with middle schoolers because of the extra bookkeeping, but thought they were generally worthwhile — mostly just as something to make the see-sawing between full health and almost dead have some lasting impact.
I always liked them. Seeing that -1 on my character sheet for so long made me try real hard to keep Axel healthy way back.
On that note, with the difficulty in ‘healing’ his new body, I think Axel will be making a point to gather scraps of technology and armour plates as spares for when if and when those with the skill are available.
In my experience, the person saying that line lives, when all around him die….
I am not a fan of this house rule but since we have used it so often, it doesn’t make sense to drop it at this time in my opinion.
