I just had a scary though – what if Kalgunn was transferred to the dragon?
Alessandro Bertolucci, that possibility came up briefly. The party also had Edan check his other items to see if anyone was home.
What do we know about psyche vessels? 1. Dwarven magic artifacts; 2. Inert stone carvings; 3. Autonatoms; 4. Human beings; what else?
Rahm Benisaeko: So, based on offhand comments made sometime in the last three years, what do those things have in common?
Who had the cubes we harvested? If he is in one, Jager could turn it on, right?
I have cubes – and I know how to activate them without a pedestal
Perhaps Kalgunn is in one? John’s cryptic hint isn’t working for me. Anyone else?
I am working under the assumption that Edan tried talking to all his magic items (cubes included); there has been no response.
Based solely on proximity, here are my suspects : Aurumthrix; His cage; the catwalk; anyone of the undying Fire Giants or defeated islanders; the A-1000; perhaps Thorfus’ axe or other items like the scrying mask? If the undying, the Dark King knows he has Kalgunn. If the cage, Kalgunn might still be in hiding. If any of our magic items, he should be able to communicate as before, vocally or telepathically which leads me to believe he is still in Glavnone.
Damn if I know John Carlson, what do those things have in common?

Ray’s list is pretty good — although maybe Alex is onto something (or not). The comment I’m thinking of that unites these things really was offhand and happened maybe fifty or more sessions ago — before Weland’Khel and Axel’s return. Don’t worry too much about it, though: the comment only explains the why of the list; narrowing it down from there to Kalgunn’s location would take a deductive leap.
A.) He’s in Edan’s head (last time he was shocked they shared dreams)
B.) He’s back with XenTeller (the soul repository thing)
There’s a third option – but it would be a stretch – he’s somehow been transferred back to Engineering where we found him.

Yeah, I was thinking transpatial too. Which means he’s a moaning spirit or a lemure?
i’m pretty sure i have asked this before but, how did Kalgunn come to be in the sword? maybe he is just knocked unconscious.
The process hasn’t been discussed, just the reasons: he was placed in the sword by his family/clan to advise subsequent generations (including his grandson, who was Chief Engineer in Xen’Khel; they didn’t get along and Kalgunn the Elder was locked in his grandson’s sock chest).
Sounds like Kalgunn Might be on Jerry Springer next week!
